North Carolina tops job loss percentage

Wow, this morning the Charlotte Business Journals had a report that North Carolina, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics, has had the largest percentage of job loss in November.

According to the commission, the number of N.C. workers with jobs fell by 58,621 on a seasonally adjusted basis in November. That drop accounts for more than half of the 112,300-job decline in the last 12 months.

It's not that surprising considering the news lately, but also not exactly the most reassuring of information either. But the important thing to remember is that the holidays are a time to reflect on what we do have. Yes, there have been plenty of jobs lost, but there are still employers hiring.
